How do you call a phone in France from the US?(area codes, ect)?

I am trying to call a hotel in Paris %26amp; I am having major problems.

Here is the number I need to dial please help with the numbers I must dial before it:

00331-4197-5050How do you call a phone in France from the US?(area codes, ect)?
You have just made a mistake in the beginning part of the number. You need to dial 011-33-14197-5050

The 011 is your needed code for the international call, then 33 is the country code and then you have your local number. I call France frequently.
Thanks so much from 2 shy. I guess you must be making a trip to Paris. Have a great time!!

it's 011 (to dial out of the country) , then-33 (for France), then 1 for Paris or see:

If u have a cellphone - Press the '+' sign - which is the Dial out country code from the US (u dont need to bother abt it). Then punch in the Country code + Area Code + Phone number

Of course - u would bear the call charges of Interational dialling + Airtime from the mobile operator.

Else goto a local store where u can pick up a phone card tht has International calling - call the toll free number on the card (key in the security code - found after scratching the card) - then follow the instructions that the voice operator gives u.

U would find it cheaper to call off a Landline or a Payphone rather than using your Mobile airtime.

Hope this helps a li'l bit
Most places use the + sign to access long distance. put in the country code and then the number. In many places the number will start with a zero so drop the zero and use the following numbers. Country codes are in the phone book if you do not have it. Remember the zero at the beginning of the number is to be omitted.
