Why do some area codes not allow landlines to have anonymous call rejection?

They are out there... I live in one and want to know whyWhy do some area codes not allow landlines to have anonymous call rejection?
In most cases, ACR is offered in conjunction with Caller ID package..! Would help to know your carrier, and where you are...With current equipment, it should be available most everywhere..(I am not aware of anyone having it without Caller ID.)Why do some area codes not allow landlines to have anonymous call rejection?
anonymous call rejection is a telephone company provided feature.. all land line providers offer this feature by dialing *77

most voip providers also offer this feature, but the feature code to activate it might be different, check with your provider how to activate anonymous call rejection..

AFAIK ACR is not available for any cell phone providers..Why do some area codes not allow landlines to have anonymous call rejection?
It has nothing to do with area code but the service provider involved may not offer that feature.
