In Canada I can go to 411.ca to find a area code. But I got a call the other night from a area code 915 and I would like to know were in the world it came from?Were can one find the area codes for around the world?

Canada, the USA and many of the countries in the Caribbean are all part of the North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA) and share the same country code, 1. You dial numbers in these areas just as you would dial long distance to another part of Canada.



For countries not administered by NANPA, you need to dial the international access code 011, then the country code. These countries may have their own set of area codes as well, but those would show on caller ID after the country code.



For instance, if you call England to make a hotel reservation, you would dial 011 44 207 4931232 to reach the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square . 44 is the country code for Great Britain, and 207 would be the area code.
