I need to make a map with points on it where area codes are?

I have an excel file. it contains hundreds of area codes. what i want to do is create a map that will put a dot where an area code refers to. is there a way to do this?

If you are familiar with java script you can use google maps to show your area code markers. Google maps is a free service.
