3 numbers onto one plan from 3 area codes?
I have a question on cell phone porting.
I have:
Line A-Main (Sprint) area code Kansas City
Line A-sub (Sprint) area code Austin, TX
Line B (Sprint) area code Boston
A-main and A-sub are on a family plan. Line B is on a separate contract. The contract on all the lines will expire soon.
I want to get all these numbers to a Verizon family plan and keep the old numbers.
The current billing address is in an entirely different city (Washington, DC) and will remain there.
1) Is is possible to port all these numbers onto a family plan.
2) How do I go about doing this - should I get a new family plan with new numbers, cancel the old contract and then port the numbers?3 numbers onto one plan from 3 area codes?
I used to work for a cell phone provider, and the porting of numbers (LNP, which stands for Local Number Portability) was only available for local numbers. For instance, if you wanted to port a Washington DC number to your Washington account, it would work, but if you tried to port the Kansas City number to your Washington account, it would be declined. Unless this has changed, I don't believe that Verizon will allow you to have all three on the same plan (they probably won't include mobile-to-mobile calling for numbers that are long-distance from each other).
The only way you will find out for sure is to call Verizon and ask them if they are willing to do it - and if they say no, then you can look for alternatives before your contract runs out.

Well, since I have been calling internationally on and off for the past 6 years, particularly in the Middle East, I can tell you that the area code is in the Middle East region. In fact the country code (963) is from Syria. I have called to Iraq, country code is 964, and Jordan, which has the country code of (962).
To go on further into detail, the number that had called you is from a cell phone. Reason why I know this is because I have dialed both landlines and cell phones based in Jordan and Iraq. The 011 is your needed code for the international call, then 33 is the country code and then you have your local number. I call France frequently.

You have just made a mistake in the beginning part of the number. You need to dial 011-33-14197-5050
The 011 is your needed code for the international call, then 33 is the country code and then you have your local number. I call France frequently.

If u have a cellphone - Press the '+' sign - which is the Dial out country code from the US (u dont need to bother abt it). Then punch in the Country code + Area Code + Phone number

Now if you call during your Nights %26amp; Weekend minutes, it will not use your minutes up.
Typically nights begin after 9pm and go to 6am on AT%26amp;T - unless you pay more to have earlier nights.

The telecommunications revolution began around 1990 with extensive growth in cellular phones, second lines, fax modems, pagers, PC modems, competition, etc.
This rapid growth quickly exhausted the available numbers in many area codes thus forcing area code splits.
Soon the 152 available area codes with "0" or "1" as the middle digit were used up. The 810 area code added to the Detroit area in August, 1994 was the second to the last one left.
Starting January 1, 1995, the format was changed so a "0" or "1" were no longer required as the middle digit. An area code can now be virtually any combination of numbers (765, 734, 847, etc.).
This new format permits 640 new usable combinations, in addition to the original 152.
In May, 1996, a new toll 鈥?free area code 888 was introduced. In April 1998, another toll free code 877 was introduced. In 2000, the toll free code 866 was introducedHow do they figure out the area codes that they give to each area and state?
There's no real method that I can figure out - the only thing is when a city or part of a state needs a new area code the assign it one. What they used to do when they needed to assign a new area code is they would divide a geographical area, and then all people in one area would be assigned new area codes. (Example: I grew up in Maryland, and when I was a kid, the state only had one area code. Then they needed to add another, and so they split the state in the middle, and everyone to the east got a new area code and to the west kept the old area code). Now what they do is they just put an "overlay" area code, so like where I live now (Boston) has 2 area codes - any newly assigned numbers get the new area code and old numbers keep the old area code.
But, I digress. The numbers that are picked are seemingly random as far as I can tell.

Can you block entire area codes?
I am having issues with family from out of state. Can you block an entire area code? Can you block outgoing calls as well? I use Vonage and they were not much help. They told me I can block specific numbers which I already knew. I need to block all of them from that area code.Can you block entire area codes?
yes, you can...with analog and digital phones....its all done with this callerID manager....you just do the wildcard...like *800....*303....*512 example.....and no one from that area code get get you!!!
I have blacked out all 800 877 866 numbers...and love it!!

Bridgwater in Somerset has an area code of 01278, whilst Harlow in Essex is 01279. I used to think that it was in alphabetical place name order, with Brighton being 01273, but Harlow has ****** that theory up. If I remember correctly (this is going back to the 01 for London days when changed to 0171 and 0181) - this was decided I think by Ofcom.... I think Bt and other communications oput forward suggestions and they chose!

If I remember correctly (this is going back to the 01 for London days when changed to 0171 and 0181) - this was decided I think by Ofcom.... I think Bt and other communications oput forward suggestions and they chose!
